The HIP Digital Health Innovation Sprint is the stage for interoperable health solutions. We are seeking digital applications that are natively interoperable through the use of international standards such as openEHR and FHIR, and that create genuine value in specific end-to-end use cases. Whether clinical outcomes, administrative efficiency or economic benefits: what matters is the actual impact for hospitals, care facilities or entire health regions that can be demonstrated. Standards-based integration with the vitagroup Health Intelligence Platform (HIP) and its open app ecosystem enables rapid implementation – without integration barriers and with full technical compliance. This allows innovative solutions to be deployed where digital health becomes reality.
The Challenge
Present a functioning end-to-end use case that demonstrates your digital health application in a specific care scenario, and demonstrate its integration capability with the HIP core technology as well as its native interoperability through openEHR or FHIR.
Make clear what actual benefit you deliver for hospitals, care facilities or health regions, and what quantifiable impact your application achieves.
Convince the jury with a holistic solution that combines technical excellence with practical relevance and has the potential to sustainably improve healthcare delivery.
Participation Requirements
- Standards-based interoperability: Your solution uses open, international standards (openEHR and/or FHIR) and can be integrated via the APIs provided by HIP.
- Independent integration: You possess the necessary expertise and required resources to implement the integration of your application into the HIP core technology independently through a standardised process.
- Complete end-to-end use case: Your submitted solution maps a use case completely from start to finish and demonstrates the entire value creation process.
- Use of demo dataset: Your solution works with a comprehensive demo patient provided by vitagroup and thereby demonstrates its practical applicability.
